Incident 1. The deer returned the favor

Once upon a time, there was a woodcutter living with an old mother in a deep mountain. One day, he was cutting trees in the mountain, and a deer ran in and asked him to hide himself from the hunter. After a while, the hunter ran over and asked the woodcutter if he had seen the deer, but the woodcutter told him the wrong direction. The deer asked the woodcutter his wish for repay.

The woodcutter said he wanted to get a beautiful bride, so the deer told him that the fairies will take a bath in the pond next to the forest. The deer told him to hide one of their wing clothes and get married, but never return it until they get four children.

Incident 2. Marriage of the fairy and the woodcutter

The woodcutter waited for the night to come and went to the pond that the deer told him. He was waiting behind a nearby rock, and the fairies started to come down from the sky.

While the fairies were taking off their wing clothes and taking bath in the pond, the woodcutter hid one of the fairies' wing clothes.

After a while, the fairies who finished bathing went up to the sky with their clothes on, but only the youngest fairy could not find her wing clothes, so she remained alone and cried. At that time, a woodcutter approached to her and took her to his house. They finally got married and had three children.

Incident 3. The fairy went back to the sky

However, as the time went by, the fairy missed her home in heaven. The woodcutter, who felt sorry for this, thought that the fairy will not go back because she had three children, so he showed the fairy her wing clothes and told her everything about the deer.

Then the fairy quickly put on her wing clothes, looked at the woodcutter with sad eyes, and said that she had to go back to heaven. She went up to heaven with all three children in her arms. That was when the Woodcutter remembered the words of the deer, that he shouldn't show the fairy her wing clothes before giving birth to four children.

Incident 4. The woodcutter followed the fairy

The woodcutter spent every day crying, missing the fairy and children. Then one day, the deer reappeared and showed him the only way to go up to the sky. It was a bucket that fairies used to get water from the pond.

The woodcutter, who went to heaven in that way, met the fairy and the children. While living happily with his family, the woodcutter began to worry about his mother, who was alone. The fairy couldn't refuse the woodcutter's request to see her mother only once, so she eventually told him to ride a horse from heaven. She warned that he wouldn't be able to come back if his feet touches the ground, so he should never get off the

horse.

Incident 5. The woodcutter became alone

The woodcutter, who returned home on the horse, explained the whole story to his mother. Then, she asked the woodcutter to eat a bowl of soup she made for the last time. The woodcutter couldn't refuse her request, so he ate the soup on the back of the horse. Then suddenly, he spilled the soup on its back and fell to the ground because the horse was so surprised that it went back up to the sky.

The woodcutter, who was unable to return to the sky forever, could only look up at the sky and missed his family for life. After he died, he became a rooster. Even now, there is a legend that the reason why the rooster climbs up high and cries "Kkokkio" while looking up at the sky is because it has a mind of a woodcutter wanting to go to heaven and meet his family.

Incident 1. A turtle goes up to the land

A long time ago, the Dragon King in the sea got sick because of an unknown disease, and no matter how good the medicine was, he couldn't get better. One day, the doctor in the Dragon Palace told the Dragon King that only a rabbit's liver can cure the disease.

When the Dragon King asked his servants who was going to go up to the land and catch the rabbit, the turtle volunteered. So the turtle headed for the land with a picture of a rabbit. It was spring in the land, so beautiful flowers were blooming everywhere, and some strange animals that the turtle have never seen before were running around.

Incident 2. A rabbit follows the turtle

The turtle searched for the rabbit hard with the picture it brought, and finally found a rabbit in the forest. The turtle told the rabbit that the land was too dangerous because of hunters during the day and scary beasts at night. Then it cleverly tempted the rabbit to go to a safer palace together, saying that The Dragon Palace is one of the most splendid and wonderful places in the world. It also said that the Dragon King will prepare a full table of delicious foods. After hearing that, the rabbit felt like going to the palace and decided to follow the turtle.

Incident 3. The rabbit faces a crisis

The turtle and the rabbit on its back went down to the sea right away. The rabbit was surprised because the world under the sea was so beautiful. While the rabbit was looking around the sea, they arrived at the dragon palace.

When the rabbit got excited and asked the turtle for some food, suddenly a loud voice came out shouting to catch the rabbit and take out its liver. A eel wrapped around the rabbit's body so that it could not move, and the Dragon King told the rabbit that he needed a liver to cure his disease. Only then did the rabbit realize that it had been deceived.

Incident 4. The rabbit faces a crisis

At that moment, a good idea came into the rabbit's mind. The rabbit cleared the voice and calmly told the Dragon King that he had no liver in his stomach. The Dragon King shouted loudly to stop lying, but the rabbit continued to speak even with more confidence. The rabbit pretended to be disappointed, saying that it could put his liver in and out, and that he washed it before, and it is now hanging on the rock. Seeing the rabbit being so confident, the Dragon King eventually believed the rabbit's words. He also hosted a big party for the rabbit.

Incident 5. The rabbit saves its life

After eating delicious foods at the party, the rabbit rested comfortably at the Dragon Palace. The next day, the rabbit went back to the land with the turtle. As soon as they arrived on the land, the rabbit ran to the mountain.

The turtle asked the rabbit if he was going to get his liver. Then the rabbit made fun of the turtle telling him that there is no such thing as an animal that can move its liver. The rabbit went back to the mountain, and the turtle was left behind alone.

Incident 1. Appearance of a mysterious being

Once upon a time, there lived three sons in a village. The first son and the second son were greedy and mean, but the youngest son was nice enough for people to make fun of him as a fool.

One day, the first son and the second son went to the forest to cut down trees for wood, with delicious snacks that their mother gave them. They met an old dwarf with a long gray beard in the forest. The old dwarf asked for food, but the two sons refused unfriendly, saying they already lack food. They both got injured while cutting trees.

Incident 2. Chance brought by the Golden Goose

Later, the youngest son said he would cut down trees instead of his injured brothers. Their father snorted, and their mother disapproved, giving him snacks simply unlike the older brothers. Again, the old dwarf asked the youngest son to share his food, and he shared it with pleasure. For a repay, the dwarf told him a tree where a golden goose was. The youngest son happily went back home with the golden goose.

Strangely, the people who coveted the golden goose got stuck together and wandered around one after another. When the princess, who had lost her laughter, saw this ridiculous scene, bursted into laughter.

Incident 3. Continued tests

The king said he would marry the princess with anyone who would bring back laughter to her. However, the king didn't want the poor youngest son as a son-in-law, so he kept giving tests.

The king told the youngest son that if he brings someone who could drink all the wine piled up in the basement, and someone could eat all the bread piled up as a mountain, he would allow the marraige.

The youngest son headed to the forest worried, hoping the old dwarf might give him help. Luckily, he met a thirsty man and a hungry man, who were able to resolve the test.

Incident 4. The last stage

Still, the king didn't want to keep the promise, so he gave the youngest son a ridiculous mission. The mission was to build a boat that could travel both on the water and on the ground. Worried about how to solve the mission, the youngest son went back to the forest, and this time he was finally able to meet the dwarf.

The dwarf told the youngest son that him meeting the thirsty man and hungry man was because of his help. He mentioned the kindness of the youngest son, who had given him food before, and said he would help him until the end.

Incident 5. Finally, happiness

The youngest son went to the palace riding on a mysterious boat that could travel both on the land and on the water, made by the dwarf.

The king couldn't refuse the youngest son any longer, who had passed all the tests. Inevitably, the king decided to have the youngest son as his son-in-law, so the youngest son finally married the princess.

Later, the youngest son became a great king who ruled the counry with a warm heart, and lived happily ever after.
